The Hallberg-Rassy 44 is the first of a new generation of fast, comfortable cruising yachts from the renowned Swedish boat builder. German Frers has optimised the waterline with the plumb bow and upright transom giving excellent passage making times. The fixed bowsprit gives the stemhead clearance for anchoring and the perfect tack for an asymmetric and the lowering platform from the transom gives great bathing access and a dinghy dock. The beam is carried further aft improving performance with the wind aft of the beam and the twin rudders give finger-tip control on the helm at all points of sail. The new hull form also benefits the interior layout giving space for a safe and comfortable galley in the walk-through to the aft of the yacht and a bright and airy aft cabin. TAM LIN is a particularly good example of a Hallberg-Rassy 44 her European Oak interior and lighter upholstery give her a feeling of space in all areas of the accommodation. TAM LIN was supplied by us from new she is still in her original ownership with an experienced and practical owner who specified her for a circumnavigation, completed in 2025. The passages were crewed with just husband and wife with occasional guests. TAM LIN is set up for long-distance short-handed passage making and maintained superbly throughout her circumnavigation. Integrated rubbing strake with stainless steel strip. Blue decorative band in gelcoat. Strong under floor reinforcements. Lead keel with reinforcement with stainless steel bolts. The rudders are carefully mounted for a sensitive rudder feel. Strong engine foundations of GRP for effective sound insulation. Deck, coach roof areas and cockpit are of sandwich construction and laminated to the hull. Toerail, cockpit seats, cockpit floor and folding bathing platform in top quality teak bonded to the GRP deck. Teak (Gin & Tonic) seats in the pushpit. Teak outboard bracket on pushpit. Swivelling, Simpson davits (LSD125) on the transom. Stainless utility pole for Radome, various antennae and outboard crane (starboard). Stainless utility pole for SSB antenna (port).
