Constuction The Dufour Gib’Sea 43 is a robust, ocean-capable cruising yacht built in France by Dufour Yachts. Her hull is constructed of solid hand-laid fiberglass (GRP) for strength and durability, while the deck features a balsa-cored sandwich construction to provide rigidity and insulation without excessive weight. The hull-to-deck joint is mechanically fastened and bonded, ensuring a watertight seal and long-term structural integrity. The internal structural grid is molded and bonded directly to the hull, distributing rig and keel loads evenly and enhancing stiffness.
