As a Spirit CRUISE design, the Spirit C50 has increased beam and headroom compared to the Spirit RACE designs. This added volume creates a wider cockpit and a more spacious interior for cruising and live-aboard comfort. With simple sail handling systems, Io of Dartmouth is set up for cruising with family or friends, or for longer distance exploration and adventures. Accommodation is for five people across three cabins and two heads. Designed as a cruising yacht, “Io” as she is affectionately known, has also proved her worth offshore, completing the infamously challenging Fastnet Race in 2023. The exposed ring frames and hull planking create a warm and natural space for socialising, hosting, or relaxing. Accommodation is for five guests across a forward double cabin (V berths) with ensuite, a port-side double guest cabin, and a navigator’s berth. The guest/navigator’s cabin share separate heads. The open plan saloon and galley area has seating for four around a handcrafted wooden dining table, and a starboard-side sofa. Aft of the galley is the chart table and navigation area. Heads each have electric flush toilets and wet-room style showers Galley: twin sinks, 3 burner gas hob; gas oven with grill (gimballed). Fridge: Side loading, Webasto/isotherm Cruise Classic. Fridge / freezer: Top loading, Webasto BI41, variable thermostat, operates as refrigerator or freezer. Option to use outboard end / port-side of saloon sofa as a single berth with a lee cloth
