2002 Elan 362

The Elan 362 is a fast and powerful 6 berth performance cruiser. Designed by Rob Humphreys, known for his performance designs for Oyster yachts and the BT Global Challenge 70’ fleet, amongst many other award-winning yachts. This Elan 362 is one of the sought after ‘owner’s version’ of the Elan 36 model, the 362 features a more indulgent use of space with an L-shaped galley to port with a single aft double cabin, and a roomier aft heads compartment with a much larger cockpit storage locker. This is a nice example, only on her second ownership from new, and benefiting from a number of important upgrades under the current ownership including all new cockpit ‘Permateek’ sheathing fitted this winter. This Elan 362 is the more appealing 'Owners' version of the Elan 36. It has a two [rather than three] cabin layout giving the boat a more indulgent accommodation plan featuring an L-shaped galley; a large comfortable chart/navigation station with mid-ship sleeping berths on both sides of the main saloon and a generous aft cabin. The heads/shower is in the starboard aft quarter and is again very spacious and practical. There is up to 6’3” headroom over much of the accommodation plan. Straight settee seating to starboard, the back of which lifts up to make a very spacious single berth. Comfortable U-shaped seating area to the port side, with the table fitted around the mast support post with two leaves that open up to make a very large table. Internal bottle storage. Storage behind the seating in addition to lockers and shelves and with hull ports to both sides. Additional - notable - storage under the saloon seating area for large items. Overhead opening deck hatch above main table. 6 x coach roof portlights in the main cabin area, all opening for great cross-flow ventilation. Logik L19HED14 TV/DVD player with remote control fitted on a hinged bracket to starboard Glomax TV signal booster with masthead antenna. Navigation area (forward facing on the starboard side): A very spacious chart table area has a large, lifting lid and space for charts within. The main 12V DC distribution panel is alongside. Sony radio/cd unit with ‘Aux’ input. Storage space for books and safety gear outboard. Inboard there are a further 3 x large drawers. Additional storage under the seat and table 240v Dimplex heater with timer controller mounted under chart table. Light, spacious and very easily cleaned, tidy and organised with easy wipe-down surfaces. Stainless basin inset into moulded counter top, H&C faucet with pull out shower attachment. Lockers above/behind basin & counter. Manual ‘Jabsco’ sea toilet, manually flushing through a holding tank.
