1990 Baltic 50

Custom-built Judel/Vrolijk & Co-designed composite Baltic 50 cruiser/racer. Extensively updated and refitted for competitive racing and comfortable performance cruising. CRAZY HORSE (ex ‘BULLY’) is a custom offshore racing sailboat designed by Judel/Vrolijk and built in 1990 by Baltic Custom Yachts in Finland. The boat is an exceptional example of Finnish craftsmanship in a competitive offshore racer. Since acquiring the boat in 2012, the current owner, (a shipyard owner) has been meticulously upgrading and maintaining the boat to a very high standard. A case in point: the boat has been "dry-sailed" since the current owner acquired her. • 2022- various running rigging upgraded for second time. The naval architect was judel/vrolijk, while deck and interior design were by Baltic’s in-house designers and j/v. When this yacht was commissioned, the IMS Rule was new and the intention was to create so-called multi-purpose yachts capable of competitive racing as well as comfortable cruising. The owner is an experienced New York racing yachtsman. He competed with Bully successfully in US East Coast waters, mostly in the NY area, but also took part in Key West events. While IMS had some success it was never really able to encourage the genuine compromise yacht the rule makers had intended Hull, Deck & Superstructure C
