The Oyster 406 was launched to replace the immensely popular Oyster 39. Developed from the larger Oyster 435 the 406 was available in both deck saloon and coachroof versions. The deck saloon layout is the smallest of the deck saloon offerings from Oyster and features the same timeless styling as her larger sisters. With a practical two-cabin, two-heads layout including a large light saloon and spacious galley, the Oyster 406 has proven to be a desirable boat for bluewater cruisers and long-term liveaboards alike. Built between 1986 and 1990 a total of 35 hulls were launched. Hull number 27, the Oyster 406 WANDERING AENGUS is the desirable deck saloon layout of the 406.
