1987 Feltz 11
Friesland
$70,598
Native price €64,950
Built by the German top yard Feltz for a German TV station NDR, or was it the ARD..... We think NDR. This was the dirctors ship during filming of the tv series: The Riddle of the Sands. A unique vessel, built in steel with many many nautical details. A very cosy boat from the inside. This ship has unlike het flatbottom ships from the Waddensea are. no side swords but a swingkeel. She can dry out straight on the seabottom (Waddensea). This boat is suitable for living onboard, there is a good heater, a shower with hot water, a large kitchen and sitting area and insulation. Sails and rigs are good, mast/beam/tiller/rudder are all good. She could use some paint on the hull but overall in a good condition. No deep rust, no weak spots, no leakage, no defects. A true gem. A historical ship due to her role in the TV series, in German: Das rätsel der Sandbank. The series is about 2 English sailors who are exploring the German Waddensea some years before the Great War. The German Navy is building up an invasion fleet for the Brittish Isles. Even the Germand Kaiser makes his appearance in the series. The TV show is based upon the book wich has the same tittle. Truly a piece of German TV history. And...... she is 40 Years later still ready to sail. A true gem.
