1984 Westerly Griffon

This Westerly Griffon 'Gemma' is the desirable MkII version with fin keel, is well set up for shorthanded sailing, and has a good inventory including an electric anchor windlass, Raymarine navigation equipment, and a recent Furlex furling system. Partial refit in 2024/5 – all head linings replaced, engine refurbishment, electrics upgraded, new running rigging and deck hardware, new instruments, new anchor, hull repaint and more. Stepping aft into the traditionally laid out saloon, there are two settee berths (port can convert to a double) either side of a central table with built in storage, and good storage in a range of lockers. The galley is aft and to starboard and equipped with a gimballed Flavel Vanessa gas cooker with two burners, grill, and oven, stainless steel sink with manually pumped cold water supply, new fridge unit to cool box, and storage. Opposite to port, is the quarter berth with large storage cupboard and electrical distribution panel. All head linings replaced in 2024/5. New LED reading lights in saloon and quarter berth. Located under companionway, Volvo Penta 2002 18 hp 2-cylinder diesel engine. Seawater cooled. Single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to fixed pitch 2-bladed propeller. Recent replacements include new sea water pump, new stainless steel exhaust elbow, new stern and cutlass bearings plus engine insulation fitted. There is a new starter motor ready to fit. Two 12 volt domestic batteries. 12 volt engine start battery. Charging via engine alternator, 50w solar panel and Victron battery charger (all professionally installed).
