Compared to the Ericson 38 this is a faster boat all around-it is lighter with better weight distribution-mainly because it was intended to be a true racer-cruiser, as opposed to the 38 which is more of a cruiser-racer. The biggest performance advantage will be in lighter air, but it is simply a more performance-oriented boat. It has the simple and proven main cabin layout with settee berths on each side, making sleeping offshore more comfortable as you will be sleeping in the middle of the boat when offshore where the motion is easiest.
