Beneteau Evasion 28 – A Well-Maintained and Updated Classic The Beneteau Evasion 28 is a well-sailing and spacious motor sailer that underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2019 and has been continuously updated with new improvements. In 2019, the boat underwent an extensive refurbishment, including a new mahogany gunwale with stainless steel fender lists, a new bowsprit, handrails, and cleats in mahogany. The same year, a new galley and a new seating area on the port side were installed. The electronics were also upgraded with a Garmin 62CV chartplotter, which has been updated annually. The interior was fitted with new cushions, ventilated berth bases, and additional top mattresses, while the cockpit was equipped with a new table and new kapok cushions. The entire boat’s LED lighting was renewed with new wiring. In 2020, a new Raymarine wheel pilot and a new Jabsco electric toilet were added. In 2021, the boat was equipped with a new refrigerator. In 2022, new sails with lazy jacks, a new windbreak, a new stainless steel stern ladder, and an aluminum gangway ladder were installed. Recent improvements include a large sprayhood with removable bows in 2023, a sunshade with bows in 2024, as well as a new diesel tank with filling and gauge. Additionally, the hull was thoroughly cleaned in 2024. In 2025, the boat was upgraded with a new circulation pump and generator, along with new AGM batteries – one for consumption (installed in 2023) and one for starting, VHF, and navigation (installed in 2025) with two separate circuits. The onboard layout is practical and spacious. In the bow, there is an electric toilet. Amidships, there is a dining area that can be converted into a small double bed as well as a single berth.
