Saharet of Tyre is a 114 ft classic wooden ketch, built in 1933 by Camper and Nicholson’s, to explore the Mediterranean Sea for WK Vanderbilt and Woodbury Parsons, the leading curator and collector of antiquities and art treasures for the leading American museums and galleries of the time. During WW2 she became damaged and was abandoned in Italy.
